As Ben rubbed the back of his neck, he started to replay the scene from earlier in the shopping trip. Lowering his head, he remembered the disappointment he felt when he discovered that she was not alone but was probably with her boyfriend. "Why am I tripping like this?" Ben thought to himself. "I'm not going to worry about this woman anymore. I don't even know why I care so much. I don't know this woman. I've never even seen her before." Ben really didn't understand why he was so bothered by this woman. As his email account can attest to, he is not lacking for female companionship. He does have some problems but finding female companionship is not one of them. However, something way deep down in his spirit was pushing him towards this particular lady and he was not sure why. Anyway, the line moved on and the woman and her companion placed their order and went on about their way. Once again, Ben attempted to put her out of his mind. Since he thought that she was unavailable, he didn’t want to waste any more energy thinking about her. After seeing her again in the hot foods area, Ben totally forgot what he wanted to eat. "Sir, what can I get for you?" asked the clerk behind the register. Ben was totally out of it and did not hear the man speaking to him. "Sir, are you ok? Would you like to order?" "Yes. Sorry, I didn't hear you. I was caught up in my thoughts. I'll have the smothered pork chops, collard greens and sweet potato casserole." "No problem Sir. It will be ready for you in just a few minutes." With his shoulders back and his posture straight, Ben walked away from the counter feeling like his normal self. He put the grocery store stunner out of his mind and was ready to move on with his day.
